Yeah I was trying to avoid the super obvious nu metal, bieber, those pop bands disney and nickelodeon put together. the humor has been drained out of making fun of those for the last 20 years.

there's this weird wave of pop music on the radio lately riding in on the coat tails of bro folk. they're all british for some reason. it's bro folk songwriting but with synthesizers instead of banjos. i've never had a job where i couldn't pick the music before haha

I wouldn't use the words "real good" to describe it but it isn't as terrible as his other stuff. The older video Don't Talk to Me was better than I thought it would be when I hit play so that's something.

I like a lot of Pearl Jam from the 90s and I like Pink Floyd. I don't understand how someone who has taken acid or shrooms (especially acid) could not like Pink Floyd.

Korn had a couple of okay albums back in the day but I can't listen to most of it now without rolling my eyes. Blind is still a good song.

I am guilty of owning quite a few nu metal albums back in the day but I understand that most of it was terrible in retrospect. Having said that, I'd rather listen to Papa Roach than GG Allin

Dang this place has been half way active over the last week. Good thing I am here to ruin this thread too by proclaiming my love for Frank Turner.

Not only do I think he is better than Billy Bragg (who I also like), but I think he is one of the better singer song writers of the last 10 years and 15 years ago before he was a singer song writer, he was killing it with his band Million Dead. Which was some of the best politically charged emo/screamo of my high school years.
