Final post.
I appreciate some of the few good people I met here and I hope you all have a wonderful life
If its not possible to delete a profile I would ask for a mod to ban me just to make sure I don't come back
I won't stay where I am not wanted and where discussions and people are treated as villains.

In case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight

the second half is amazing. this was supposed to be a lighter one and delves into some of the things i have mentioned or yelled in recent time on the board

I am aware that I am currently extremely high strung and I apologize

I'd go into it but i think most of experience or are currently experiencing large amounts of work with little pay and ever rising expectations when you do a kick ass jobs.

its like i'm not competing with other stores now, i'm competing against myself.  i started to say more but erased. post is about the maze.

I would like to think everyone who reads this would enjoy it, but even if you don't, its certainly food for thoughts. and even questions myself [and to be silly, the questioning of questioning, but thats more in relation to me and idealology and dogmatism which becomes this huge thing at the end.

moral maze usualluy has 4 people, two at least on the opposite political spectrum but politics, even when discussing political things, is never at the forefront. the fact that is labeled 'religious' in some podcast libraries kinda makes me want to punch someone...

but like i said, kinda high strung, i miss not caring and doing drugs and for that to be the only thing i think and care about...except i don't miss it, which boggles my mind further

General / Debate Club

I realize i can be weird when I go into my rants and logic and philosophical hogwash. But I love reading and moreso practical use for philosophy. I've never thought of writing a non-fiction work before but I have been throwing around some ideas, mostly with playing the devil's advocate, finding the logical conclusion for something I am really against but trying my damnest to defend it, then combing back through it rebuking it and hopefully finding that my personal thoughts are the victor. Plus, done in appropriate setting, which is why i am making new topic, i think it can be good clean fun. If anyone would like to participate, some ideas for starting off debate in which I would play against poster's positions: Gun control vs Gun Banning [regulation, complete banning, all firearms or only most dangerous, no change at all], socialist policy vs free market [left wing vs right wing core positions, welfare state vs libertarian free market, if a true free market could be had, how would it be taxed and should it, how to provide an ethical welfare state, and other aspects of the liberal/conservative view of policy] identity politics vs individualism [identity politics as authoritarian or necessary for equality, the ethics of taking out the individual in term of policy, are these truly liberal ideas, are they utilitarian? (i am, most often, consider myself a utilitarian in terms of ethics although there are certainly good arguments against it]

consequentialism vs kant's deontology [ethics in terms of effect or intention]

skepticism vs the many forms of skepticism even being skeptic of itself and oneself

epistemology and knowledge. rationalism vs idealism. is consciousness an aspect of something physical or something beyond our knowledge or beyond matter

purpose and use of language. rhetoric. do words and language affect our thinking and view of the world.

if anyone is interested these are some things on my mind of recent. i don't have to play devil's advocate, could always just discussion

I'm not counting piano and trumpet, piano i had lessons in and trumpet i played in the band. But when i finally picked up my geek fiddle, my first song was Alice in Chains - Nutshell, specifically the acoustic set as seen back when MTV played music:

I know i have posted here and there about having a true blue phobia of "dementia" and alzheimers, a serious probloem with memory (just as much an aspect of my depression as from my decade of drug use), and my passion for nootropic / smart drugs / cognitive enhancers whatever you want to call them

My mind palace is a store, a big box retail store. Blue for things that happened before i was 18 (like lowes home imporvement) orange for after (like homedepot). Aisle dealing with events that happened outside are filled with vines and sicks and stuff hanging around. Electricial and games likewise.
Aisle three, orange, first time hearing beethoven's 9th, first bay (favorites) at the bottom (first time). Half way up a with favorite expericens , the same 9th symphony, that night on LSD when it felt... when i experienced it.

and so on.

I am currently buildings and practices my mind palace. It IS a real thing, no just something made up for sherlock. I  have honestly and sadly lost all my will to live...and this is one way i am trying to find meaning in continuing to do so. I will create and build a mind balace so incredible that i may, just may, content for the memory olympics.
