I saw this topic on another board and thought it would be fun to do here.
What are your most hated moments in songs/albums? Not necessarily in bad songs or albums, but just moments that totally, well, suck.

The example OP used was in "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N Roses, when he fucking sings "Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-kneeeeeees" is sooo grating and unpleasant. Another for me would be hearing all the different vocal inflections Billy Corgan uses in "Bullet with Butterfly Wings." I liked that song until one of my friends made fun of it by copying all the different voices in the song. Now I can't unhear it.

kinda weird how the earth continues to spin on its axis and everything eventually dies even when you don't want it to dang

The fact the lyrics in blinded by the light sound exactly like "wrapped up like a douche" is the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear this question.

Not on an album or song, but Ben Weasel at SXSW was pretty disgusting

That's a good one too. I thought of at work how annoying it is listening to the endless "do do doo dododo doo"'s in "semi charmed life" by third eye blind, and how if it's that bad to listen to, then to sing it on stage in front of others must be horrible.

I'm just going with Phil Spector in general.  The guy ruined both Let It Be and End of the Century with his overproduction bullshit.

Donald Trumps favorite song but in defense of the Ying Yang twins, the first does seem interested in getting consent.

I actually kinda like Phil Spector girl groups. I got weird taste. With ramones this is my top 5.

1) rocket to Russia
2) leave home
3) pleasant dreams
4) end of the century
5) mondo bizzaro.

I'm all over

If I smoke a blunt I'll throw on dee dee king  (dee dee ramone) his solo hiphop/punk, 60s girlgroup mashup.

He's my favorite ramone

The Ramones have so many great albums that you can rank them a million different ways.  However, you may have the first top whatever Ramones list that didn't include the self titled.   Mondo Bizzaro is a great album.  Hell, Adios Amigos is a great album.  As a Dee Dee fan myself I'd have to include Too Tough To Die in my top 3.  That was a great album for Dee Dee.

I can always find something to like about most pop punk bands no matter how obnoxious or overly poppy it is. That being said, I never found anything likeable about Good Charlotte and think they're the worst punk band to get famous.

This is probably their worst and I do understand that I'm playing fast and loose with the word "punk"

on the mellencamp issue, I have to disagree. I think a lot of his songs are brilliant. But that's what cool about life/message boards/etc.. get to see different perspectives..

I wanna say the Grateful Dead but they actually have some really good songs at the end of the day.. but they inspired some of the worst music ever..

at the moment (it changes from moment to moment), this is one of the worst.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3MXiTeH_Pg

John Cougar Mellencamp.
I like some of his songs. When I was a kid he was my favorite musician (along with Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, and MC Hammer). I still enjoy a lot of his songs but quite a few make me cringe. I like the album Scarecrow.

Hoobastank
I've never heard that band but the name itself is bad enough.

You have never heard of hoobastank????????

This is mind boggling, but also very impressive. Congrats on living what I can only assume is a more fulfilling life than the rest of us.

Yeah I owned their first album with the George Michael cover, wanna fight about it?

https://youtu.be/l-EdCNjumvI

This song was the other main attraction to the Three Dollar Bill Y'all album

https://youtu.be/GHyV9V-37zc

I owned a lot of nu metal albums that I am now ashamed of having owned.

What album have people owned that they're most ashamed of or think is the worst? It has to have been bought or listened to heavily when you were age 13 or older.

I'm not sure if this is the most embarrassing or not. I owned a lot of CDs when I was a teenager.

Nickelback-Silver Side Up

https://youtu.be/1cQh1ccqu8M

Their first album (The State) is actually not that bad. Knowing what I know now makes it unlistenable though. Silver Side Up was terrible. I saw Nickelback open for Staind. Nonpoint and Oleander were there too. I owned albums by all 4 bands.

Oh! Most THIS might be the worst and/or most embarrassing album I owned.

Creed-My Own Prison

While not their worst, it is terrible and the only one I owned. I liked this song when it came out

Back to worst moments in music for a minute, me and my friends used to listen to this song and album it was on all of the time. Musically I don't think it's that bad, I just think it is messed up to have a song that gives the steps to making crack. A friend told me that the baking soda to cocaine ratio is off in the song but otherwise is pretty accurate

I was big into korn, limp bizkit, creed, all that horrendous music when I was like eleven or twelve. Right around Woodstock 99..

Actually yeah, I think woodstock 99 was the worst moment in music history
