I never understood Blink's appeal at age 12 and I definitely don't get it now. haha

I quit this thread haha
Probably for the best. I thought we had it nailed with Jawbreaker but Brett swooped in and smacked the rubber stamp out of Jer's hand at the last second.

I keep saying it and no one will confirm or deny Propagandhi. Doesn't everyone here love at least one Propagandhi album?
If I recall correctly KW isn't a Propagandhi fan.

Taylor Swift? Eeeew.

Shit I'm back in the thread.

I think I read it in two days. Anyone else donate/ read it yet? It was really good and sad (like Free Pizza for Life). It was interesting to get the full details about how this all went down.

I'd take the worst Nofx songs over the best meatloaf songs every day all day

I can't at all agree with the Mountain Goats, but the Beatles, Jawbreaker and Op Ivy make sense.

What about Built to Spill?  Operation: Cliff Clavin?
100% yes on Built to Spill and Op:CC.

What about the Dead Kennedys and The Stooges? Black Sabbath?

Operation Ivy is pretty much the best. That's amazing Eugene.

I've never really gotten into the mountain goats. I like the handful of songs I've heard of theirs just fine, but not enough to make me actively listen to them.

The Descendents are another band that I feel like are just alright. Milo is a good record but even as a kid I found myself rolling my eyes at the woe is me suburban whiteboy heartache, and homophobia, and misogyny in their lyrics. I should listen to them more and appreciate the music and pay attention to the lyrics a little less... the melodies are good. Suburban Home, I'm Not A Punk, and 'Merican are untouchable though.

I don't even know where to torrent things anymore. Everywhere is getting taken down. I haven't had a lot of time to listen to new music lately though so I'm pretty out of the loop. I still use this guy:

Hoobastank
I've never heard that band but the name itself is bad enough.

There's a petition going around urging the electoral college (convening December 19th) to not vote for Trump in a faithless elector decision. It's one of those things that probably does nothing, but any action to show the electorate how unhappy America is with this election (protests, clicktivism to get out information, etc), especially after winning the popular vote and losing due to our archaic system is an opportunity to stop the train before it ever leaves the station. It only takes a second. 1.5 million signatures already.

It's been a while since I've been to NY man. I'll let you know next time I'm over there. I'd be stoked to skate and chill. Thanks man.
