I LOVE YOU AND THIS MUSIC.

Seriously, it's pretty good. Only like 1.5 songs in, but I'm into it.

My aunt and I no longer speak because I "made her look stupid" by pointing out that kids CAN pray in school, contrary to some meme she shared. My uncle thinks it's nuts that I don't want him commenting on my facebook while he has a giant rebel flag for his profile picture. And don't even get me started on when Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair cover came out.

I do think it's interesting that the family members I'm supposed to be most careful not to offend (cousins in NC with a Southern Baptist preacher father/grandfather who never even swear), are the ones who never post anything hateful toward any group of people.

The problem with facebook is that I never, ever wanted to know the details of my extended family's political beliefs. Yet they insist on posting about them constantly.

You guys are alright, though. By "alright," I mean FUCK ALL OF YOU! COME AT ME, BRO.

Thanks, Rory! These are the latest additions to the collection:

I have a few more on their way. I guess at least it's a relatively cheap collection to have, since they're usually $5-15.

I have a tiny bathroom, so my reading material if I forget my phone is the shampoo bottle.

A couple of months ago I started a lapel pin collection and it's gotten pretty serious.

Yeah, it was O'Connor Brewery's annual festival! Norfolk generally has a lot of fun events going on in spring and summer, before it starts dying a slow death in the fall.

The hint of a moustache indicates you are getting kinda old, Skuyler.

I'm friends with most of you on facebook so you've already seen this. Oh well.

We have a Shark at the office and that thing rules, but I've also never used a Dyson.

And I don't own a vacuum because I have a tiny apartment with hardwood floors.

Lindsey you should link to your IG so everyone can see your art because that shit is DOPE. For real, I want to get one of your mandalas.

I haven't been in about 5 years, but moving away from Florida has made me a little nostalgic, I guess. I'm stoked to just spend the weekend with my best friends.

Ed, I saw someone with a Beach Slang shirt on the other day and wanted to high five him so badly. But I didn't. That's the end of the story.

Jer knows what's up. The Front Bottoms are one of my favorite bands of recent years.

Embroidery. Can't think about anything dumb if you're concentrating on making teeny tiny stitches.
Going out on weekends. It sounds obvious, but I have a tendency to isolate myself, so this has taken a conscious effort. Lately I've gone to an art show, a show show, mermaid (statue) hunting, and a new restaurant that specializes in grilled cheeses.

Brett, where do you get your adorable animal gifs if not reddit? Do you wait for them to trickle down to buzzfeed or something?

Oh dang, I saw you post something about facebook about Cursive-- I didn't realize your band was going on tour with them! That's awesome!

Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy, I think it's safe to say it's the South. It's like Gainesville, though, in that it's a mostly liberal place with a lot of neat stuff going on. Only being a couple hours from DC is pretty nice, too.

I'm from Florida and lived all over the state, so to me the only acceptable places there are Gainesville and Tampa. Orlando is godawful with tourists, Pensacola is forever away from anywhere else, same for Tallahassee. While I love Gainesville, the job market is rough due to the university churning out grads who love Gainesville and want to stay. Cost of living is cheap, though, maybe $600 or so for a good 2 bedroom. Tampa has a better job market, but is also more crowded. There's definitely some cool stuff going on there, though. Cost of living is higher, but not too bad. I think the last time I looked it was about 7 or 800 for a decent 2 bedroom.

I'm currently in Norfolk, VA. Don't come here. It's not terrible, but I would be back in Gainesville if not for my job.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with Meneire's at such an early age, Cracky. My mom has severe vertigo (which they thought at first was Meneire's) and it's awful :(.

+No more boyfriend! He was a nice enough guy, just not for me. .

Was this the guy I met? I'm glad that it's a + and not a -! Being sad about break up stuff is...well...sad.

In other news, we need to hang out again!
Yes, that was him! Nice dude, but nah. And yes, we do need to hang out again! I'm leaving to Florida for a week tomorrow, but I'll holler at you on facebook when I'm back.

Yay, Simmons! We had a couple people from there as guest speakers when I was at FSU. There's also WNEU in western Mass if you're looking into backup programs. I'm sure you'll get into Simmons, though. Good luck!
