im in the same boat as dakota, if i was playing i'd go for the day, but otherwise i don't think i'd ever go again as a spectator... just too much for me / i only ever really want to see like 3 bands. hard to justify the weekend.

+ since moving, my mental health has generally stabilized, i have gotten into much healthier habits, and feel completely supported no matter what is going on in life. i am really happy to report that, in general, all is well and it seems like it will stay that way for the forseeable future.

Thats some crazy shit, thanks for the info.   To be honest, the way my life has gone as far as my judaism is concerned, I don't expect it to be much different.   Lots of manipulation and guilt trips from that part of the family, mostly coming down on me for being a "bad jew," which, to be fair, I am.   Thanks, though.  I'll keep that in mind, and cash in on a free trip to a different country anyway.  Having that knowledge ahead of time will definitely help see through the bullshit.

my family does the silent guilt trip super well. they're really into judging my "laco of jewish-ness" without saying anything, or making really passive shitty comments. ahh well.

i planned on doing it in my last year or two of eligibility, but after talking with becca a few years ago, and my sister a year before that, decided against that. i weighed the mental exhaustion of indoctrinating against a free trip to israel with an open ended return ticket and viewed my simple sanity as the winner.

we were a staff pick of the week at vice magazine's noisey website. ignore the whole "they got our band name wrong" thing haha.

anyone seen the movie Coherence? just saw it and was super into it. really rad science fiction and they way they filmed it / how the creator did the script, or lack of script, was super cool. totally inspired to make a rad no budget film now.

i am still a little perplexed by this whole thing. don't get me wrong, i've totally been an asshole before. i'd say these last 3-4 years i've made a huge conscious effort to be a more considerate, understanding, and communicative individual... i just don't think i've ever been a dick on this message board. so weird i say, so weird!

furthermore, the only recollections i have of ever posting negative things about anyone on this board are the few times we had accused abusers, people who harassed others, & rape apologists around. xjeremyx, alex from baltimore, and applesandonions all come to mind as specific instances of that.
