General / RIP Ryan (accidentprone)
May 11, 2020, 12:06:33 PM
I found out recently that Ryan (accidentprone) passed away a couple years ago. I can't believe I hadn't talked to him in that long, and it still kind of feels like he will see this and respond to it.
Ryan was a good guy who was constantly trying to be an even better person. I'll miss his enthusiasm here, his honesty, and his openness to magic in the world.

That sounds really interesting! I took a class in college on how geography shaped the spread of Buddhism across Southeast Asia and it was really great

I've recently finished
We Are Okay
Sorcery for Beginners
Midnight at the Electric
Right now I'm reading
On Homesickness, which is really fantastic and
Unbecoming. It's pretty good but I'm kind of over it.

I hate how friendships turn into just "people you see sometimes and make small talk with" in your 30s too. I've found that if I take a chance and say something that makes me feel vulnerable, often people will open up and those friendships deepen. It's how I've made the few close connections I've made recently.

How frustrating. I'm sorry. You would think people would be happy you are honest and recovering instead of just taking the meds. Hope your mouth is feeling alright.

I'm so sorry, how shitty.
I hope you get some sort of resolution/way forward soon. <3

We actually put a lot of work into it so I hope it sells easily. The market is hot here too. We should probably be thinking more about buying since that might be harder but the selling is really preoccupying

How did you get into that? The original podcasts, haha.
Speaking of podcasts, what are people listening to? I really like Judge John Hodgman and One Bad Mother. I listen to the kids podcast Story Pirates all the time too and enjoy it.
We're selling our house. It's stressful but exciting.

I was lonely and pix music spoke to me. I wanted friends.
I'm writing now, and playing a little music on the ukulele.
I'm a part of the mom community here, which I know sounds lame but is radical in its own little way. We try to create the village that's missing for so many people in the suburbs. We do babysitting exchanges so we can work on our creative and work projects and gift each other things we no longer need for our kids so we don't have to buy as much.

Hey all!
I'm at 453 pre-orders and I really want to make this happen. I would be so so grateful for your help. Ebooks are only $10 and it would really mean a lot!

Reading more is changing my life in one of those slow, patient ways.
