New Days N Days for those of you still listening to the Folk Punk in 2017.

Saw Why? Last night and while their new album is getting mixed reviews I've been pretty obsessed with it

Screeching Weasel's catalogue is finally on Apple Music so this morning has been devoted to listening to My Brian Hurts and Anthem for a New Tomorrow. Ben Weasel may be a garbage human being but damn it if he didn't make some of the best punk music ever. I think it's interesting having heard him talk politics and then listen to songs like Racist Society. It doesn't seem like the same person.

Having said that, I'd rather listen to Papa Roach than GG Allin

hatmoose

i listen to podcasts and stuff a lot, mostly the best show with tom scharpling

music wise ever since what.cd went down i am bad at listening to new music, i wish it was easier.

i'm trying to listen to all the big ol' bands just so i can have some context for things today. lately, neil young, emerson lake and palmer, just random stuff. i like japanese pop music

NOFX's covers are stronger than Rancid's in my opinion with Corazon de Oro being the best.

speaking of NOFX, is anyone else a Decline fan? any does anyone wanna list their top 5 NOFX albums if you dig em?

1) Punk in Drublic
2) So long and thanks for the Shoes
3) White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean
4) Ripped
5) Pump up the Valuum

---------------------

i've also been really into Thee Temple Ov Pyschik Youth which was founded by Genesis P-Orridge of Throbbing Gristle which was an extremely interesting and inspiration esoteric and occult movement in the UK.. anyhow it's not about that, it's about the band's that were connected with it and the brilliant music they produced (well i find it brilliant. it might just be absurd noise to you but listen to it and it will force it's way into your subconscious and then there's no escaping it once you've been intellectually inseminated..

I used to be a huge NOFX fan but have cooled on them as I've gotten older. I believe even those who aren't really feeling NOFX like the Decline. I'll have to think about my top 5 but 1 and 2 are definitely 1. Punk in Drublic and 2. White Trash...

i thought in general no one liked the decline? i'm out of touch. Punk in Drublic is obviously the best.

I though it was viewed as a classic but I'm out of touch, too. 3) So Long.. 4) Heavy Petting Zoo 5) Coaster
I'm not counting the Decline since it's just one song. Coaster is the surprise on the list but I enjoy it more than Ribbed

I was thinking of best Screeching Weasel albums. 1) My Brain Hurts 2) Anthem for a New Tomorrow 3) Boogada Boogada Boogada 4) Wiggle 5) Television City Dream tied with Emo. I couldn't leave Emo off after giving it a quick listen. Even though it's not as catchy, the lyrics are better than TCD.

I think I agree, but I'd probably switch Wiggle and Boogadax3

Who was it that was obsessed with sorority noise??

The new track is so good. I was starting to worry after not liking their last album.
