The way the league handled this shows how out of touch they are.   First trying to make him bow out, then coordinating his trade (because come the fuck on, Bergevin has even said, without saying it, that he was forced into taking John Scott in that trade) in an attempt to disqualify him, and then trying to exclude him from the MVP vote, plus all the shit that NBCSN was talking about him; it just makes them all look like horrible people.   When they brought his kids into it was just disgusting.  Fuck Bettman, fuck Jeremy Roenick, and fuck Milbury.  John Scott is an underdog hero who actually made the ASG worth watching.   He didn't look out of place at all on the ice, and the goals he scored were legit goals.   His will probably be the first ASG jersey I actually buy, and I may just have to see when the Amerks play the Ice Caps next, so I can get a chance of him signing it.

In the past three seasons, the Rangers have traded 3 1st round picks, 3 2nd round picks, Anthony Duclair, John Moore, Alecksi Saarela, and Ryan Callahan.  Today, as a result of all those trades we have a Chris Summers, a conditional pick, and a 6th round pick.  We've lost 3/4 of the high profile players acquired in those trades to UFA, traded for negotiating rights or retirement.   What the fuck.

I'm also not taking into account anything related to Carl Hagelin because I don't want to be any more depressed than I already am.

Also apparently something is broken with the board.  I typed an entire second part into that last post about how I couldn't edit my first post.  I tried editing the first one, and it told me I left the message body empty.  Then when I tried mentioning that in my second post, I did it as a separate paragraph, but it's only displaying the first one.  Can't wait until Trump fixes everything.

Edit:  Somehow I was able to edit my second post, but still not my first.  Wtf..

It's genuine. Teemu is great but he was always a big Carlyle defender. He's absolutely wrong. This is why former star players are rarely good coaches..

the panthers have been making smart moves, signing young players who are playing great and still have tons to learn to managable, cap friendly long term deals. they are utilizing analytics and a decision-by-committee mindset. they are doing everything right... and i can't root for them anymore.

my faith in hockey may actually have finally broken. i may dip out of fandom. sucks.
