I was getting intimate around that 3am time in Oakland.  Each of us thought the other was doing weird things to the bed before we noticed the rockin and rollin and the clothing rack shaking.

I've been really bummed out because Monday I found out a friend died who I had sat next to, worked with, and exchanged thoughts and jokes with for the passed two years.  Unfortunately no one I can tell gave a shit and all the buzz is about Robin Williams and how great of a friend he is to everyone on and off the internet.  Maybe this bothers me because I'm sensitive right now.  Or maybe it's because I'm tired of rich, privileged celebrities getting more attention than youth being shot up by cops in the city I live.

Or maybe I just miss my friend :(

I've been slammed countless times for questioning the moral motivation behind 80% of this list (but mostly NWA and Dr. Dre).
Makes me feel better to know that my questions weren't just based on some wild presumptions.

I think the most important part of this is that whatever (awesome) bands you're covering, make sure they play all the time and tour as much as possible.
It's never cool when you create a bunch of tapes or cd's and they start stacking the walls.

I want to quit my job.
I want to be surrounded by individuals who want nothing more than friendship, fun, to respect each other, and trade each other's time.
I want a piece of land by somewhere where there'll be water for a while so that no one I know ever has to be worried about a place to live, ever again (unless they want to).
I want to open up a workshop and a farm so that no one I know ever has to go hungry or bored.
I want to never hurt the environment again.

Thanks for the share, I really like those videos and I'm grabbing more of their material.  I've been more into more doomy/sludgy stuff, but I'll keep the dark metal vibe goin.

How about buying/borrowing a used 4-track or similar tape recorder?
You could either hook up microphones to a 4-track or obtain a cassette recorder with a built-in microphone and experiment recording live.
