During the past year I have watched a lot of people do news and opinion online. There's a lot of diversity in what I watch but there are certain words and phrases that I began hearing a little over a year ago and I'm just tired of hearing them. Please feel free to add the ones that you are sick of hearing.
The number 1 word on my list is "cuck". The other ones are in no particular order but I had to single "cuck" out because it is defitely the word I'm most sick of hearing/reading.
Social justice warrior or SJW, regressive, marketplace of ideas, classical liberal (as a code word for libertarian), snowflake, woke
Here are a few bonus acronyms/abbreviations: MGTOW, MRA, AnCap
I'm sure there are more that I can't think of right now.
"feeling the bern"
much more that I cant think of at the moment
Drain the swamp, fake news, MAGA/make America great again, virtue signaling
Yes to "woke"
cash me ousside how bout dat

Having a preteen in the house, I completely agree.
I haven't "beta male" often but it was instantly irritating when I did hear it.
sjw, cuck, beta male, snowflake, white people saying "woke", alt-right.

First I've heard of this one haha
Other than white people appropriating slang as usual, what's wrong with "woke"? I've only seen it in reference to staying on top of political news, participating in the process, etc., which I think is a pretty good thing if the word is continuing to keep young people interested in politics.
I don't think the word keeps people interested in politics. I think it's just a way of describing people who are socially aware, which is great. It's just way overused.
"Look at this woke toddler, guys!"
Like it just seems like a parody of itself now because people say it 50 times a day.
Oh, ok, I guess I just hadn't noticed the overuse. For that, I'd nominate "lit".

It is also used by right wing nuts to describe being aware of the vast conspiracies that liberals have enacted through the years. I also hate the term "red pill" which is used in the same context.
On the non-political front, using the word "right?" a lot is irritating. Oh, and when people say "F-ing" or "F" instead of just saying "fucking" or "fuck". If you're around children I feel like there's not a lot if any difference between using one as opposed to the other so just come up with another word to use. If it's being used without children present it's even more puzzling.
Just made me think of this Louis CK bit

these are all new to me. the kids these days and there wacky jargon.
what is this "cuck" and "woke"? can someone use them in a sentence?
but yeah, "lit" sucks. makes me think of this.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc5iTNVEOAg

It's true! I think Becca and I like a lot of music most people hate but YOU guys are the ones who don't know good music. You're just not woke like we are.

A cuck comes from the word "cuckhold" which is a man who has been cheated on I believe but is most often used to describe porn where a man watches someone else have sex with their wife and enjoys it. The word "cuck" began being used sometime during the past 2 years or so to describe weak men who don't support Trump (started as being more directed at Republicans who didn't support Trump but is now just used in the same way "bitch" and "pussy" are used as an insult towards men).
Woke has already been discussed in this thread. I can't properly use it in a sentence.

I don't know but all this talk about being lit made me think of this stinker that I did used to listen to back when I thought singing about doing coke was awesome. I also thought doing cocaine was a lot of fun but I didn't like the neighborhoods I had to go to in order to get it and it was expensive. Sometimes I wonder what the hell was wrong with me.

Moist is a word that makes a lot of people uncomfortable for some reason
the aversion to the word moist is obnoxious and manufactured.

yeah, i can relate (to say the least) to the fucking insanity involved with cocaine
oh and i have no problem with "moist".. however, and i've mentioned this once before but i don't recall what thread it was in, but "suckle"is pretty disturbing
I can't even imagine associating with people that say "cuck" let alone hearing it enough to be tired of it instead of just outraged
i am legit tired of "yas queen" it's been beat to death by regulars

I have never heard a person say "cuck" in real life but see it in comments sections to videos I watch regularly. What does "yas queen" mean? I've never heard it before.
it's basically the new version of YOU GO GIRL!
just like everything good, black girls created it, gay men stole it, and then pop culture caught on and ruined it

the truest statement ever written
real talk
has anyone said real talk since like 2008?
unfortunately jer, yes.. i dunno if it's just a NY t hing but instead of saying "true" the new version is to say "facts"
we should all just go back to olde english

I thought YASSS QUEEN started in the black drag queen scene. But yes, this sentiment is very, very correct.
It seems to me that "real talk" evolved or changed to "100" or "keepin' it 100". I live in a very rural area so I don't hear a lot of current slang. I hear kids saying "legit" a lot which is kind of annoying but also kind of funny because it makes me feel like if I played Too Legit to Quit by MC Hammer, it would sound somewhat contemporary
I'm a big fan of "Do your Googles!" when telling people to learn some shit about shit. I look forward to the day when it is popular to be sick of it.

legit started in like 2007. it stopped being a slang word and just became a regular part of everyone's vocabulary. Like what happened with
OK in the 1830's

I prefer my legits to stay in MC Hammer lyrics, thank you very much. I even remember the band signs that go with it. Too legit to quit for life. I believe that was my first CD, though Kris Kross may have been my first CD. It was back when CDs came in a really long absurd box.
for better or worse my vernacular, or jargaon if you will, hasn't changed much over the course of time. I still use "mad" and like referring to things as "ruthless" or "brutal".
keepin it a 100, real talk, facts.. they all remain in heavy rotation in areas i find myself frequenting.
is there any novel, refreshing ways to reference a vagina? i'm just curious. "box" has gotten a bit dry, no pun intended.

My cousin used to call it a "pockey" when she was little. I had a friend who used the term "crevis" when talking about vagina.
ah crevis. that's a good one
