Title: Anyone still using Discogs?
Post by: rory on May 04, 2015, 09:32:41 AM
I know Brett posted about it awhile back.

I just updated my collection, which I had apparently started two years ago.

So far I'm not selling anything, but the could change. I'm about to start working at a record store, and my main focus there will be doing the online listings, so I'm trying to get myself familiar with the site.

I'm pretty sure mine is up to date. I would be fine selling things since I could always use money, depending on the album. You'll pry my Grouper and Tom Waits albums from my cold dead hands though.

Intense. I was just looking up that record a bit before you posted. Discogs is a dangerous site for my now fragile wallet.

For sure. Since they repressed it it's a lot cheaper now. Some fools still think they can still get $375 for first presses on discogs but now that there's more than 500 out there they shouldn't be going that high. Everyone trying to charge that missed their chance.
