Yeah I don't know, you sent me a message about how this board can be insular (which yeah, like any online community/community/anything ever) but I think sometimes what happens is someone shows up, makes very little sense and is therefore not communicating effectively (without body/facial context clues, this can happen pretty easily), and it's hard for people to not respond in a sort of stern and weary way.
So like part of me is just thinking "hey, communicate more effectively and there'll probably be no problem"
and there's another part of me that's like "hey, when people make me feel off put in the real physical communication world, I just don't let those people into my life. It's almost never done me any good to go against my gut feelings of discomfort"

Room 237 is a great movie if you approach it the right way-- if you take it too seriously it's obviously nonsense, and if you want to take it ironically it isn't funny, but it's a really terrific mood piece in a way. It's sometimes just nice to watch, relax, and soak in another person's weird, obsessive beliefs.

I had almost mentioned earlier how this character is like Ryan's id just going out and posting all on it's own, but then I thought that that was sort of insulting to Ryan who has been a mostly pleasant and definitely content-fueling force on the board for a bit now.

I don't have but a handful of friends myself and used to cut myself a lot and think about suicide all the time, literally all the time.
Medication helped with that for a while. and stopped by cutting. im thinking it hasn't helped me recently because i'm coming off a meth addiction. so i think about suicide all the time again. maybe if im lucky a long enough time without meth and taking my meds with get me back to an equilibrium.
Doctor's drugs aren't evil. nor are natural ones. but things vary person to person and pot and mushrooms are no good for some people. Medications are bad for some people too, but antidepressants helped me a lot and i know they've helped others on the board
I didn't mean to get you upset until i misinterrpreted your post in the vegetarian thread and thought you were attacking whitney and she's a friend and i get downright defensive and mean and dirty when people threaten or insult my friends.
stop trying so hard. take it easy and just have normal conversations. there are boardies who still don't like me i think, and not a lot of people respond to my posts. but eventually sometimes people do and you can have a conversation. its life.
and coming under a new name and not admitting who you are and generally being deceptive doesn't help either. if you wanted resolution, you should have come out and admitted who you are, why you are here, and what you want to accomplish. you'd be surprised how much people respect that.
